“I want you to get excited about who you are, what you are, what you have, and what can still be for you. I want to inspire you to see that you can go far beyond where you are right now.”
Therapy can be an important tool for growth to better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Engaging in this process can often help address stress, anxiety, and depression, though these are not things that change overnight. The weight you carry and the difficulties you have to navigate can lighten and lessen over time, which is a journey we can embark on together.
As a therapist, I am a Health at Every Size, LGBTQ+ supportive, culturally sensitive and trauma informed advocate who sees the value of each person’s individual story and the power that can be harnessed by re-claiming it as your own. My clinical practice is rooted in strength based, insight oriented, behavior driven, and solution focused perspectives and draws from a number of different therapeutic models to provide a very integrated approach to mental wellness that engages a person's whole self in the work we do together. The intention of each session is for you to leave feeling seen and heard as well as having more insight and strategies to address the different challenges you face in life, feeling empowered to use them regularly.
I provide telehealth therapy through a secure, HIPAA compliant virtual platform which allows individuals to more easily access services from the comfort of their home. This minimizes transportation barriers; all that is needed is a private space and strong internet connection. While I am physically located in the panhandle of West Virginia, I am clinically licensed to practice in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia and can serve clients in any of these areas. I am an in-network provider with Aetna, United Health Care, Oxford, Oscar Health, UMR, and Cigna across all practice areas.
